Can you have a laser done for presbyopia years after myopia laser correction?
LASIK does not
actually treat Presbyopia, at least not in in any direct way. So it is not
really a treatment option. However, it IS possible to create monovision -a way
to "trick" the near vision problem by creating/leaving a little bit of planned
myopia (nearsightedness) in the non-dominant eye to shift the default focal
point up close. But be aware that this is at the expense of the distance vision
somewhat in that one eye.
But more often than not, the degeneration of the natural lens (which causes the Presbyopia) is beginning to affect distance vision in some ways as well so other options may need to be considered.
