How long should I wait to have cataract surgery?
You should wait to have cataract surgery until you feel you really need to see better than you currently do.
When you are finding yourself cutting back doing the things you enjoy and need to do in work or other activities is generally the most common situation, e.g. driving at night, being able to read the sub-titles on the TV screen. Of course there are more considerations than just this in individual cases. There is always a trade-off in risks and benefits that need to be evaluated and discussed with your eye doctor.
