I can see so clearly very close up without my myopic glasses. But blurry closeup with. Could I need reading glasses?
The one good thing about being nearsighted (myopic) is that if you take off your glasses, you can usually see better up close.
You do not tend to
notice this until you reach your 40s and older because prior to then your eye
can still "accommodate," that is, pull your focal point up close
voluntarily. This age-related loss of accommodation (due to the aging and
hardening of the eye's natural lens) is called Presbyopia. So even
if you are middle-aged and myopic, you can "trick" your
presbyopia by using the close-up default focus of your nearsightedness to
compensate for the hardened, presbyopic lens!
