If someone has a glasses prescription of -15, can it be corrected?
This
would be considered a seriously high degree of myopia (nearsightedness), well
beyond the limits of what LASIK can safely correct.
However, there is another technology: the ICL (Intraocular contact lens) that would probably work and would certainly be safer than LASIK or PRK. The ICL is like a soft contact lens that is implanted inside the eye without the need for removing any tissue, either from the cornea or from the lens.
